The Northern Neck Orchestra is seeking to create a community chorus to participate in an exhilarating reinvention of Handel’s Messiah called “Too Hot to Handel: A Gospel Messiah.”
The new rendition of the Messiah, which unites classical music with gospel harmony, jazz improvisation and Latin rhythms, will showcase a chorus from all ages, races and backgrounds, said music director Michael Repper.
The orchestra will hold a welcome meeting to acquaint prospective chorus members with Too Hot to Handel from 7-9 p.m. October 10 at Grace Episcopal Church….
