Celebrating its 43rd anniversary on March 16 and 17, the Rappahannock River Waterfowl Show (RRWS) is an art experience dedicated to wildfowl art in its many forms. Original paintings, decorative carvings, gunning style decoys, folk art style carvings, prints, photography and bronze sculptures are the many forms with songbirds, shorebirds, birds of prey, ducks and geese the subjects.
The show will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday at the White Stone Firehouse, 579 Chesapeake Drive, White Stone.
The weekend door prize is an original carving by William Bruce of White Stone, reported show coordinator Pat Bruce. The Bruces have co-chaired the show for it’s duration. This also is William’s 43rd year as an exhibitor at this show.
