Arts for Youth brings two virtual programs to Lancaster Elementary

The legendary Headless Horseman continued his frightening ride for older students at Lancaster Elementary School October 16-27. 

Working with the Barter Players, the Rappahannock Foundation for the Arts (RFA), through its Arts for Youth Program, lined up streaming rights to “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” which was offered virtually to students in grades 4-7, roughly half the school’s combined student population of 548. 

Over the same time period, another Barter Players troupe created a medieval kingdom in a streamed adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen’s 1835 classic “The Princess and the Pea” for students in grades K-3.
