KILMARNOCK—The Lancaster by the Bay Chamber of Commerce recently announced its 2023 award recipients.
Sheila Broderick Brown and Jeff Brown were selected Volunteers of the Year; Brad Smith, Businessperson of the Year; and Rev. John Farmer, Dennis W. Burchill Lifetime Achievement Award recipient.
The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s annual meeting and dinner March 1 at the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Neck Event Center, 517 North Main Street, Kilmarnock.
Volunteers of the Year
“We are delighted to recognize Sheila and Jeff Brown as our Chamber Volunteers of the Year,” said executive director Sydney Walters. “Their joint commitment to serving our Chamber and the broader community is truly inspiring.”
2024 marks S. Brown’s ninth year on the Chamber board of directors. Throughout her tenure, she has played a role in multiple retail-related promotions. Meanwhile, J. Brown became heavily involved in the Chamber too. They serve on the Golf Classic committee and can be found volunteering at many Chamber signature events.
