Beginning February 6, Northumberland Public Library (NPL), 7204 Northumberland Highway, Heathsville, will show the traveling exhibit, Strong Men and Women in Virginia History.

This annual project honors African Americans for their contributions to the Commonwealth, reported director Jane Blue. This year’s honorees include Wendell Oliver Scott, Rev. Raymond Rogers, “R.R.” Wilkinson, Ora Scruggs McCoy, retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Quentin Joseph Smith Jr., Sheila Bowen Taylor and Kendall Holbrook.

This exhibit from the Library of Virginia is made possible with support from Dominion Energy and will continue through March 16, said Blue.
